2024 recipients include Chris Albert (National Geographic), Julian Brodsky (Comcast) and Lauren Richardson (Comcast Business)

National Harbor, MD (October 28, 2024) – CTAM, the industry’s entertainment and technology marketing and communications organization, is pleased to announce the 2024 Beacon, Grand TAM and TAMI Award winners. 

Chris Albert, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications, National Geographic, will receive the 2024 Beacon Award for Communications Excellence. The award spotlights distinguished communications leaders who epitomize success in discipline, demonstrate innovation and creativity, and inspire excellence in others.

For over 20 years, Chris Albert has led National Geographic’s communications, ensuring its 135-year-old brand remains central to the cultural conversation, with a reputation for driving innovation and delivering results. Chris has masterminded campaigns that launch groundbreaking series like the Emmy-nominated GENIUS and Disney+’s LIMITLESS WITH CHRIS HEMSWORTH while creating extraordinary events like the Abbey Road Studios premiere and National Geographic’s New York Fashion Week debut.

In addition, CTAM announces the 2024 CTAM Grand TAM and TAMI Award winners.

Julian Brodsky, Director Emeritus and Co-Founder of Comcast, has been named the 2024 Grand TAM recipient. The Grand TAM is awarded in recognition of an individual’s commitment to ensuring the industry’s future through exceptional leadership. Brodsky was selected for this prestigious honor for his invaluable contributions, dedication, and commitment to ensuring the CTAM Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School stays aligned with industry evolution.

“As the longest-serving board member, Julian’s impact on the success and sustainability of the CTAM Executive Management at Harvard Business School program is immeasurable,” said Martha Soehren, Chair of the CTAM Educational Foundation Board. “His unwavering dedication to the program has ensured that it continues to evolve alongside industry changes, equipping future leaders with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate an ever-shifting media landscape.”

Lauren Richardson, Senior Director, Solutions Strategy & Analyst Relations, Comcast Business, will receive a 2024 CTAM TAMI Award, the award honors individuals for their exceptional contributions to initiatives critical to driving the continued success of the industry. Lauren’s extraordinary volunteer efforts to the CTAM MSO-wide Business Services initiative resulted in developing the first-ever sales data reporting for CTAM’s Business Services Connect, the industry’s SMB lead generation portal.
